Shoe My Feet

…from Bare to Brighter Future

Since March 2022, the “Shoe My Feet” initiative has been transforming lives by providing durable footwear to children in rural Nigerian schools. This project ensures safety, comfort, and dignity for these children, addressing the lack of proper shoes that often hinders their ability to attend school confidently. By removing this significant barrier, “Shoe My Feet” enables children to focus on their education and build brighter futures.

The success of this initiative is made possible through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers who believe in the vision of creating equitable opportunities for all children.

To support this impactful mission, consider donating or volunteering with “Shoe My Feet.” Your contribution can help provide shoes to children in need and empower them to pursue their education without hindrance. Together, we can make a difference—one child at a time.

In 2024, the “Shoe My Feet” initiative introduced shoemaking workshops to empower youth in rural Nigerian communities. These workshops provide participants with practical skills, enabling them to craft footwear while gaining entrepreneurial experience. By fostering a sustainable cycle of empowerment, trained youth are encouraged to teach these valuable skills to others in their communities. This approach ensures the program’s long-term impact, promoting self-reliance and economic growth.

The success of these workshops is driven by the unwavering support of donors and the dedication of volunteers who share the vision of empowering youth through skill development. Together, we are crafting brighter futures, one shoe at a time.

Shoe My Feet: Empowering Education through Footwear

Introducing the Shoe My Feet Project

Launched in March 2022, Shoe My Feet is a life-changing initiative born out of necessity. After conducting a thorough survey, we discovered that many school children in rural areas lack proper footwear, hindering their ability to attend school regularly. For children, going to school without shoes not only exposes them to injury and disease but also diminishes their confidence, impacting their educational experience.

Supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all, Shoe My Feet aims to remove one of the key barriers to school attendance. By providing footwear, we strive to make education more accessible for children in rural areas of Nigeria.
