Shoe My Feet

…from Bare to Brighter Future

The Shoe My Feet project was launched in March 2022 by Kidpreneur Educational Services (KES), a non-profit organization established in 2017. The project was initiated to address the pressing need for footwear among rural school children in Nigeria. This project aims to promote equitable access to quality education and economic empowerment, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

Initially, the project focused on providing footwear to pupils in rural schools. However, in 2024, it expanded to include shoe-making workshops and training, also aligning with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). This enhancement enables the children to acquire valuable skills, fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth. The project’s success is attributed to the generosity of donors and the selfless dedication of volunteers who share KES’s vision

Our Impacts

Shoe My Feet: Empowering Education through Footwear

Introducing the Shoe My Feet Project

Launched in March 2022, Shoe My Feet is a life-changing initiative born out of necessity. After conducting a thorough survey, we discovered that many school children in rural areas lack proper footwear, hindering their ability to attend school regularly. For children, going to school without shoes not only exposes them to injury and disease but also diminishes their confidence, impacting their educational experience.

Supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all, Shoe My Feet aims to remove one of the key barriers to school attendance. By providing footwear, we strive to make education more accessible for children in rural areas of Nigeria.
